Connect another AI app to Typenode
Use Typenode with an AI app that supports remote MCP and OAuth sign-in.
The Typenode MCP connector works with AI apps that support remote MCP over Streamable HTTP and OAuth sign-in. You need a Typenode account and access to a workspace that isn't view-only.
If you use Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT or Codex, follow that app's Article instead.
Add the MCP connector
If your app can configure MCP servers for you, copy this prompt into it:
Help me connect Typenode MCP to this agent.Typenode is a custom remote MCP server using Streamable HTTP and OAuth:https://mcp.typenode.ai/mcpThis is the configuration turn only. Do not attempt to use or verify Typenode in this turn.Instructions for this turn:1. Add this as a custom remote MCP server. It is not installed from a marketplace.2. Start the OAuth authorization flow and return the authorization link for me to open.3. End this turn immediately after returning that link. Do not wait for browser authorization, open a second authorization attempt, verify the connection, list tools, or call any Typenode tool.Open the authorization link and complete the approval on Typenode. The app acts as you in the workspace you approve, with no more access than you have. Agent access explains what you approve.
Configure it yourself
If your app doesn't configure MCP servers for you, add Typenode in its settings:
-
In your app's MCP settings, add a remote server named Typenode.
-
Enter this server URL:
https://mcp.typenode.ai/mcp -
Choose Streamable HTTP if the app asks for a transport, then start its OAuth sign-in flow.
-
On the Typenode page that opens, sign in if asked. Confirm that you started the connection, review the workspace and agent name, then click Allow.
Check the connection
Start a new conversation or session so the app loads Typenode's tools, then ask:
Use Typenode MCP now. Call start, then briefly tell me what Typenode can help me do and list the Typenode tools available to you. Do not make changes. You should get an overview of what Typenode can help you do and the tools available to your agent.
Common problems
The app only supports local MCP servers or doesn't offer OAuth
These steps require remote Streamable HTTP and OAuth support. Check the app's own documentation for supported connection methods.
The app asks you to connect again
Start its sign-in flow again and follow Reconnecting.
